Government shutdown 2013: Contractors can't submit proposals for federal work

Despite an end to the government shutdown being in sight Wednesday, potential federal contractors continue to find themselves stifled by an inability to submit their proposals.

Federal News Radio reports that a number of companies seeking contracts with the government cannot currently respond to requests for proposals while the shutdown continues.

Wednesday marked day 16 of the government shutdown.
