The agency that is tasked to hear appeals from federal workers over their sequestration-related furloughs has denied all appeals it has heard thus far.
Government Executive reports that through this past Tuesday, the Merit Systems Protection Board has rejected the appeal of 40 employees who disputed their furloughs. A large majority of those appeals came from FAA employees.
Appeals from workers at the EPA, IRS and Social Security Administration were also turned down.
The MSPB is working through an enormous backlog of federal furlough appeals, a list that stretches into the tens of thousands.
