Pentagon employees who have relied on a popular bus route from Fairfax County to Arlington are breathing a sigh of relief Thursday after their service was saved, WTOP reports.
WTOP's Ari Ashe reports that Fairfax County has decided to not eliminate two Fairfax Connector express bus routes from Reston to the Pentagon and Crystal City.
The buses, Routes 595 and 597, cost $15 for a round-trip ride from the Reston North Park and Ride lot to areas close to the Pentagon.
Critics of the plan said that getting rid of the popular routes would have added at least an hour to their daily commutes.
