A protracted legal battle over a government cloud computing contract has been won by Amazon, for now.
The Washington Post reports that a court has ruled in favor of Amazon Web Services over IBM over a lucrative contract to provide cloud computing services to the CIA.
A row began between the two companies when IBM filed a protest over the award to the GAO, which prompted the CIA to throw competition for the contract open again.
But the Post says that Amazon appealed that decision to the U.S. Court of Federal claims, which overturned the GAO's decision.
IBM plans to appeal again.
