She's got the beat! Ronan, a California Sea Lion is the center of a new study - and is quickly gaining fans thanks to her smooth moves on YouTube.

In a study published by The Journal of Comparative Psychology, researchers at the University of California Santa Cruz say they’ve discovered “the first non-human mammal to be able to keep a beat.”

Ronan was trained to follow a simple repetitive sound with her head. Eventually, she was able to keep the beat to music and "dance". Her two favorite tunes: “Boogie Wonderland” by Earth, Wind and Fire, and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys.
