Kylie Jenner walks runway for first time; sister Kim Kardashian watches the show

Daybreak Daily’s afternoon jaunt through the world of pop-culture comes across a runway debut by 14-year-old Kylie Jenner, who’s Kim Kardashian’s lil’ sis, a potential diva move by Madonna, a remake of a cult-classic surfing movie and much more.

GO SISTER, GO: Per Too Fab, “Kylie Jenner had some hardcore cheerleaders in the front row as she walked her first runway last night for Avril Lavigne's Abbey Dawn clothing line: Her superstar sisters! Kim Kardashian, her husband Kris Humphries and sisters Kourtney and Kendall all sat right up front as Kylie made her Fashion Week debut for Avril's punk clothing line. The sisters were out of their seats, shouting at 14-year-old Kylie every time she hit the runway, looking proud of their little sis and taking personal photos the entire time.”

BACKHANDED COMPLIMENT: Per the L.A. Times, “There is nothing intrinsically wrong with a “hard news” guy having a “soft news” show, and Anderson Cooper has certainly dabbled before, filling in for Regis Philbin and hosting “The Mole,” (but) instead of dumbing down his brand and trying to appear pop culturally righteous by pandering to lowbrow topics and high-volume heartstrings, Cooper should think about how he can expand or even elevate the genre of the daytime talk show. After all, what’s the point of being Anderson Cooper if you’re just going to waste it on hanging out with Snooki?”

DON’T LOOK: Per Toronto’s Globe and Mail, “Madonna was all smiles and compliments when she visited the Toronto International Film Festival Monday to promote her new film, W.E., about famous divorcé, the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson. One observer even heard her thank the festival's orange-shirted volunteers. It was a bit of a different story backstage, however, when eight of those volunteers were asked to turn their faces to a wall so that they would not look at the pop-star-turned-movie-director as she made her way to her press conference about the film.”

NO LAW&ORDER: Per Rolling Stone, “Before last night's premiere of the VH1 documentary Planet Rock: The Story of Hip-Hop and the Crack Generation, the film's narrator and executive producer Ice-T was sitting in a room full of Emmys at the Paley Center for Media in New York City. "I was approached by VH1 because they knew I was familiar," he told Rolling Stone. "They knew that I had access to all the rappers… and that they would all accept my phone call," he said, laughing.”

OF COURSE SHE DOES: Per the AP, “Newly crowned Miss Universe Leila Lopes wants to help her native Angola further escape a history of war and impoverishment and said she plans to focus on combating HIV around the globe. Speaking in a timid voice early Tuesday shortly after taking the crown in South America's largest city, the 25-year-old Lopes said that "as Miss Angola I've already done a lot to help my people."

NOT ENGAGED: Per People, “Yes, he was looking at jewelry – just not of the engagement variety. Online reports that Britney Spears's boyfriend and former agent, Jason Trawick, is planning to propose are false, a rep for the singer tells PEOPLE. Trawick, 39, was spotted meeting with high-end jeweler Pascal Mouaward in Los Angeles Monday afternoon, sparking rumors that they were discussing diamonds for the pop star.”

SURF’S UP: Per PerezHilton, “Yesterday, Alcon Entertainment announced plans to remake 1991 action flick Point Break, which starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. The new Point Break will be released by Warner Bros, and it's getting fast tracked, so we can expect to hear a lot more about this soon.”

MADEA!: Per Forbes, “In Hollywood, actors like Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp get most of the attention but they aren’t necessarily the ones who are making the most money. Just check out our list of Entertainment’s Highest-Paid Men. Only two of the ten men on our list are actors and one of those actors earns most of his money as a writer/director/producer. That would be the multi-talented Tyler Perry.”

BFF: Per Access Hollywood, “If there were any lingering rumors about Will Smith and Marc Anthony’s friendship – the pair put them to rest last night when they were spotted together at the Miami Dolphins Monday Night Football game.

INTERESTING PAIRING: Per indieWIRE, “At 29, Kirsten Dunst has more than 25 years’ experience. But nothing can quite compare to shooting “Melancholia” with Lars von Trier, the Danish bad-boy auteur who’s almost as well known for eliciting career-best performances from his actresses as he is for igniting controversy.”

AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video.
