Kim Kardashian's honeymoon begins with a smooch at LAX

AND A PHOTO! Per People, “Kim Kardashian and her new husband Kris Humphries set off for a quick honeymoon on Monday following their lavish wedding. Both looked casual and sported sunglasses as they walked through Los Angeles Airport with their arms around each other for their trip to Europe.”

AND THE SHADY SIDE: Per TMZ, “Kris Humphries wasn't the only person who wanted to consummate his marriage to Kim Kardashian this weekend, 'cause at the same time ... MILLIONS of "fans" were flooding the official website for Kim's XXX tape. TMZ has learned ... roughly 2 MILLION people visited (the site) between Friday and Sunday night ... a HUGE boost from the average weekend traffic.”

DESPERATE HOUSWIVES? Per E!, “One is married to a pro NBA basketballer and one used to be. New besties alert? Eva Longoria was a VIP guest at Kim Kardashian's weekend wedding, but it was Khloé Kardashian Odom who joined her on a double date with last night in Hollywood. Khloé, Lamar, Eva and her man Eduardo Cruz all had dinner at Madeo restaurant, where Khloé was surprisingly quiet when asked about her sister's nuptials.”

IN QUESTION: Confirmation pending, but, per InTouch, “After 13 years of marriage, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have decided to separate, an insider tells In Touch Weekly exclusively. They have two children, Jaden and Willow, together. And Jada is stepmother to Will's son, Trey, from a previous marriage.”

OK, WHATEVER: Per the AP, “Amy Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, and it is still unclear what killed the singer, her family said Tuesday. The family said in a statement that toxicology tests showed "alcohol was present" in the singer's body but it hasn't yet been determined if it contributed to her death.”

THIS GUY WAS ROCKIN' SWEET! Per Rolling Stone, “Nick Ashford, one half of the legendary Motown songwriting team Ashford and Simpson – who penned the classics "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "I'm Every Woman" and "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" – died of throat cancer at a New York City hospital on August 22nd. He was 70.

ALSO THIS: “Jerry Leiber, one of the most important songwriters in the history of rock & roll – whose 60-year partnership with Mike Stoller produced "Stand By Me," "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," "Young Blood," "On Broadway," "Yakety-Yak" and countless other classics – has died of cardiopulmonary failure. He was 78.”

POOR NORMA JEAN: Per the Huffington Post, “For Megan Fox, it's in with bread and out with ink. The former "Transformers" star has long been known for her distinctive tattoos (thanks in no small part to her propensity to reveal the skin that they adorn), but she recently decided to say goodbye to her most famous ink job of them all: her inner forearm tattoo of Marilyn Monroe's face.”

POLITICO BLINK: “The FCC gave the coup de grace to the fairness doctrine Monday as the commission axed more than 80 media industry rules. Earlier this summer FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski agreed to erase the post WWII-era rule, but the action Monday puts the last nail into the coffin for the regulation that sought to ensure discussion over the airwaves of controversial issues did not exclude any particular point of view.”

WHAT TO MAKE OF THIS? Not sure but it’s interesting. Per Michelle Malkin, “What happened when Katy Perry tweeted “Pray for Israel.”
