Daybreak Daily’s afternoon sprint through the pop-culture world trips over a good read about the games of hunger, offers a legend, other things, and the mystery music video.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE: Good read about the star of ‘Hunger Games,’ per Rolling Stone, “The most talented young actress in America is idling on a side street in her white Volkswagen, in blue jeans, a gray T-shirt and designer shades. Her naturally blond hair is pulled back in a loose ponytail, and her elbows are sticking out the open window. She's famous for playing vulnerable young women with wills of steel, as with her Oscar-nominated turn in Winter's Bone, or as the bow-and-arrow-toting Katniss Everdeen in the just-released Hunger Games. Right now her face says she means business.”

ADRIENNE RICH: Read her stuff. It’s more than good, per the New York Times, “It would be good to remember that while Adrienne Rich, who died on Tuesday, was indeed an inspiring cultural force, she was at bottom a poet. And the defiant political stands for which she became famous are entirely consistent with that identity and its long American heritage.”

MEANWHILE: A different kind of poetry, with money in motion, per PerezHilton, “Kris Humphries has filed legal documents to force Kim Kardashian to spill the deets on just how much money they made during their 72-day blessed union. His lawyer argued that she must inform Kris of ALL the assets they accumulated during the marriage AND she has no right to be giving away their wedding gifts without his consent.”

ON A ROLL: Inside baseball, per Deadline Hollywood, “Novelist Kristin Hannah has made screen deals for two of her novels. 1492 Films has acquired Home Front, with Chris Columbus attached to direct, and produce with his 1492 cohorts Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe. The book, a bestseller for the sixth consecutive week, is a dramatic exploration of the toll war takes on an ordinary American family. (Also), The Things We Do For Love is being developed by SPB Productions as a possible starring vehicle for Abigail Breslin.”

HAS POTENTIAL: After that, all bets are off, per Vulture, “The Twins sequel news to end all Twins sequel news has arrived: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are attached to star in Triplets, which would feature Eddie Murphy as the pair's other genetically engineered sibling.”

KARDASHIAN ALERT: Me, me, me, per Radar, “Kim Kardashian donned a Lady Gaga-esque look -- complete with colored contacts and cleavage that’s more than ample -- in a new shot she uploaded to her Twitter page.”

BULLY: A good review, per People, “Alex will break your heart. The Iowa middle schooler so aches to be liked that when an older boy on the school bus threatens to kill him, he doesn't appreciate the danger. As he puts it to his mother, Jackie, "If you say these people aren't my friends, then what friends do I have?"

TAR HEELS: UNC loses a fan, or something like that, per Us Weekly, “With one month to go in her pregnancy, Jessica Simpson has unfortunately had to trade her beloved, sky-high heels for flats and sandals. "I tried but it was too hard," the first-time mom to be was overheard telling a fellow shopper in Santa Monica this month. "Wearing heels is like a religion to me, so it's tough!"

GUY’S GOTTA MAKE A LIVING: Well, within the law, per the AP, “Los Angeles County prosecutors have charged a San Fernando Valley man with stealing more than 3,000 movie posters worth more than $450,000, including posters for "The Hunger Games." The Los Angeles Times says Christian Eric Stevens snagged the posters from bus shelters to sell them online.”

SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES: No, really, per indieWIRE, “The American Dance Festival is pleased to announce our annual call for submissions for the 17th annual International Screendance Festival. Created as a platform to showcase recent developments in the field as well as historically relevant work, ADF’s International Screendance Festival, directed by dance filmmaker and curator, Douglas Rosenberg, has screened more than 320 dance films by filmmakers from over 20 countries, to audiences from all over the world.”

ALRIGHTY THEN: Goodness gracious, great ball of fire, per CNN, “Rock 'n' roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis is married for a seventh time -- this time to the ex-wife of a cousin whose sister Lewis wed when she was 13 -- his representative said Thursday.”

AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video.
