WASHINGTON (WJLA) - The final album of D.C. music legend Chuck Brown is due to be released next month, giving fans a chance to star in his final music video.
The Go-Go pioneer's posthumous album, titled "Beautiful Life," will be available Aug. 19. The album will include an introduction from hip-hop star Doug E. Fresh and collaborations with rap star Wale and R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn.
The release will come in the same month as the unveiling of a memorial dedicated to Brown in Langdon Park in Northeast Washington. Fans of the Chuck Brown Band are also invited to appear in the singer's final music video during an Aug. 2 performance at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md.
