THE MINI-ME TIMES TWO: Or something like that, per People, "It's a match made in Jersey Shore heaven. Jenni "JWoww" Farley's daughter and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's son are off to a great start in becoming BFFs like their mommies.
"Farley, 28, posted an Instagram of 2-year-old Lorenzo Dominic standing sweetly over her baby girl, Meilani Alexandra, on Saturday, accompanied with the too-cute caption, "Counting toes." '' http://bit.ly/1A5hLNI
'FROZEN': Of a quick thaw, per The Wrap, "Disney is making sure that "Frozen" will never thaw. The studio announced Tuesday that it will release a new animated short that brings back the characters from its Oscar-winning mega-hit, which earned $1.274 billion at the global box office and has become a force in the ancillary markets.
"The log line released by the studio promises more fun than drama: "In 'Frozen Fever,' it's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk." '' http://bit.ly/1w4Roa1
NETFLIX STRIKES AGAIN: Just not at the Emmys, per the Los Angeles Times, "Netflix has nabbed worldwide Internet video-on-demand rights to "Gotham," Warner Bros.' highly anticipated TV series that tells the story of how police detective James Gordon first encounters a young Bruce Wayne. Netflix and Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution announced the "unprecedented agreement" late Tuesday.
"The deal demonstrates Netflix's aggressiveness in amassing a large library of movies and TV shows to try to create the world's preeminent streaming service. "Gotham" episodes will become available on the Netflix service next year -- after the series' first season airs on the Fox network in the U.S." http://lat.ms/1u08SF7
REALLY?: Consider the show, per Deadline, "Homeland star Mandy Patinkin announced on Tuesday's The Colbert Report that, when his show's fourth season wraps, he will enter the race to be elected Prime Minister of Israel, in order to "balance my participation in this world for however long I might have left to be in it." Then he asked Colbert to be his security advisor, and bounced him on his knee." http://bit.ly/1umpgPy
DUCK DYNASTY: The way he sees it, per Us Weekly, "Throw whatever shade you want at Phil Robertson -- he's not about to duck and cover. As evidenced by his controversial comments about race and homosexuality in GQ last December, the 68-year-old Duck Dynasty patriarch isn't afraid to speak his mind, even if it alienates fans of his family's A&E reality show. In fact, he's about to put himself out there again in a new book, unPHILtered: The Way I See It." http://usm.ag/Z6ZQuB
ROBIN WILLIAMS: And his daughter, per Entertainment Weekly, "Robin Williams' daughter Zelda was bullied on social media after her father's death, causing the 25-year-old to suspend her Twitter and Instagram accounts. "Deleting this from my devices for a good long time, maybe forever," Zelda posted on Twitter Aug. 13. Nearly three weeks later, she's back.
"Zelda posted a simple tweet Monday, her first since Aug. 13, reading "Thank you." In that tweet, she also linked to a Tumblr post containing a quote from actor Harvey Fierstein: "Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no ones definition of your life; define yourself." '' http://bit.ly/Wbb67m
BRITNEY: Of a breakup -- or not, per TMZ, "David Lucado says he didn't technically cheat on Britney Spears ... because his videotaped hookup with another chick went down AFTER Brit had already kicked him to the curb.
"Lucado is telling friends Britney dumped him via text on August 6th. Sources close to the ex couple tell us they'd been arguing over "outside influences" -- like her conservators -- who control Britney's life ... and Spears sent him a message saying, "I'm done with you." Lucado's cheating sesh went down the very next night on August 7 -- and as we first told you Britney's dad now owns the video of the hookup." http://bit.ly/1sZAMhW
TOM UGG BRADY: Um, OK, per Celebuzz!, "M&C Saatchi is launching UGG's first-ever global marketing campaign, entitled This Is UGG, which enlists the help of Tom Brady in the brand's latest effort to change its perception as the ugly footwear company." http://celeb.bz/1u0dZ8q
BOX-OFFICE BLUES: At least for some, per The Hollywood Reporter, "Heading into summer 2014, not even the most savvy box-office observer could have predicted that Disney's live-action fairy tale Maleficent would come in No. 2, bested only by Transformers: Age of Extinction. Female-fueled The Fault in Our Stars also soared, turning into one of the most profitable titles of the season. The other big surprise: R-rated comedies.
"Here's a look at who prospered, and who didn't, at the tumultuous 2014 summer box office." http://bit.ly/1uzVeXP
WHOA: Hey, different strokes, per X17, "A Mercedes for a toddler? And a $1450 purse for a 16-month-old? Are some stars teaching their youngsters to be obsessed with wealth and status and forgetting about real values?
"We made a huge fuss about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter Nori carrying a pricey Saint Laurent crossbody bag at the airport yesterday, and the same day 50 Cent posted a photo of his young son Sire cruising around in a miniature black Mercedes, similar to the rapper's own luxury SUV. So much for playing with cardboard boxes and toting around pink plastic Hello Kitty purses!" http://bit.ly/1lzaRyT
