Today's pop-culture roundup includes a campy visit to NYC, a boxing actor, a great singer with a growing belly, the Bieber-Bloom thing, our mystery music video and much more.

SHARKNADO 2! CAMEOS: Of Judd Hirsch, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Andy Dick, Billy Ray Cyrus and on and on, per the Los Angeles Times, “"Sharknado 2: The Second One" premiered on the Syfy channel Wednesday night, and the cameos were almost as ubiquitous as the sharks. In fact, so many actors participated that "we had more people than we knew what to do with," director Anthony C. Ferrante told The Times this year.

“The second chapter in the Sharknado tale reunites the stars of the first film, Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, along with new cast members Kari Wuhrer, Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath and Judah Friedlander as they once again do battle with deadly airborne man-eating sharks, this time in New York City. Here are some of our favorite social media reactions to the celebrity storm of cameo appearances.”

MEANWHILE: Of the best(?) lines, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Sharknado 2: The Second One delivered what the people wanted: shark carnage and plenty of cheesy quotes. But which were the best? Here are our picks for the wildest kills and most groan-inducing one-liners.”

AND THIS: Even the government wanted in on the fun, per USA TODAY, “. . .The National Weather service tuned in with a tongue-in-cheek PSA during Wednesday's premiere: "Is a #Sharknado possible? About as likely as a tsunami of unicorns! #Sharknado2." ’’{ }

JAMIE FOXX WILL PUNCH AGAIN: In black trunks, per Variety, “Having already played the corner man to one of the greatest boxers of all-time, Jamie Foxx looks ready to get back in the ring to portray one of the most recognizable boxers and sports figures of this generation. Sources tell Variety that Foxx is attached to play Mike Tyson in an untitled biopic that Terence Winter is set to pen. Rick Yorn, who is Foxx’s manager, is shepherding the project and will produce.”

PBS NEWS HOUR: Just the facts, per Deadline, “Sara Just, a 25-year ABC News veteran, is leaving the network to become executive producer of PBS News Hour and SVP at WETA, the public television station in Washington, DC. Just, who has been ABC News’ Deputy Washington Bureau Chief since April, will join News Hour on Sept. 2, succeeding Linda Winslow, who is retiring.”

ALICIA KEYS PREGNANT: Again, per People, “Surprise! Alicia Keys is getting ready for baby No. 2. The “Girl on Fire” singer, 33, made the announcement with an adorable photo on Instagram, posing in a flowing white dress next to husband Swizz Beatz and showing off quite the baby bump — and also noting that Thursday happens to be the couple’s wedding anniversary.”

‘TWILIGHT’: Of Kristen and Rob, per The Insider, “Robert Pattison is over it. Two years ago, the Twilight star was blindsided when photographs of his co-star and longtime girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, kissing her married Snow White and the Huntsman director were published in Us Weekly.

"Pattinson, 28, has revealed in a new interview with Esquire U.K. exactly how he feels about the subject today. "S--t happens, you know?" Pattinson said with a laugh. "It's just young people... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s---?" ’’

CROWD SUPPORT: Of a novel approach, per Rolling Stone, “Rob Zombie, who has directed movies like Devil's Rejects and two Halloween films, was uncharacteristically uneasy at first with the idea of crowdfunding a movie. But that went away once he realized it was a quid-pro-quo tradeoff. On Thursday, the director launched a campaign to fund his next movie 31, offering the sorts of rewards he knows his fans want.

“. . . Over the next two months, Zombie is looking to raise funds for the film via his new website RZ-31. The director is offering up a variety of high-quality rewards to people who want to support the movie, including autographed posters, a chance for Zombie to follow a winner on Twitter, a winner's name in the credits, a lifetime laminate to see Zombie on tour at any show and a gig as an extra in 31.”

NEVERLAND RANCH: For sale, per Radar, “Michael Jackson’s iconic Neverland Ranch is being sold, is exclusively reporting. According to sources familiar with the situation, Colony Capital, the organization that owns a primary stake in the ownership of the Santa Ynez property, has decided to sell it.”

THE BIEBER-BLOOM THING: Good for Mr. Bell, per X17, “Drake Bell is mocking Justin Bieber for his fight with Orlando Bloom. As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber and Bloom had a scuffle in Spain, before being separated by their respective entourages.

“Late Wednesday, Bell took to Twitter to call out Bieber for having a bodyguard allegedly protect him during the confrontation. He included two images featuring a tiny dog — meant to be Bieber — being guarded by a much larger one.”

AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video.
