Today's pop-culture roundup includes a prolific punk, the return of Han Solo, the return of Britney Spears to the dating market, the MDA telethon, our mystery music video and much more.

BITE ME, BIEBER: Or something like that, per USA TODAY, “No matter that Justin Bieber has 50 zillion followers on Twitter; when the people he works with talk about what an annoying brat he can be, it’s not good. Step right up, Bill Hader of Saturday Night Live. Bieber, he’s quoted as saying in a tell-all book about SNL, was one of the worst guest hosts ever. “I really didn’t enjoy having Justin Bieber around,” Hader tells James Andrew Miller and Tom Shales, authors of Live From New York: An Uncensored History Of Saturday Night Live. “He’s the only one who lived up to the reputation. I think that’s the only time I felt that way in eight years.”

BACK IN THE SADDLE: That would be Harrison Ford, per The Hollywood Reporter, “Star Wars: Episode VII has resumed production after Harrison Ford's on-set injury stalled filming for a couple weeks. Filming restarted earlier this week at Pinewood Studios in the U.K., a source confirms to THR. “Ford injured himself on the set of Lucasfilm and Disney's project in June. According to sources, he broke his leg in an incident involving the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character pilots in the original films. Ford later underwent surgery and the production went on a two-week hiatus earlier in August to await his recovery.”

MILEY’S HOMELESS ESCORT: Booked and released, per the Los Angeles Times, “Jesse Helt, the homeless man who became famous after Miley Cyrus took him to the MTV Video Music Awards as her date Sunday, turned himself in to authorities in Oregon on an outstanding warrant Thursday night. Helt turned himself in to the Polk County Jail in Dallas about 7 p.m., jail staff said. “Helt was booked and then released after he paid $2,500 toward his $25,000 bond, staff said. Cyrus took Helt to the award show after meeting him at a homeless center in Hollywood, his mother, who lives in West Salem, Ore., told the Statesman Journal. The warrant was for an unspecified probation violation.”

MDA TELETHON: And Rascal Flatts, per Rolling Stone, “Next to their October 2011 induction into the Grand Ole Opry, Rascal Flatts' most recent appearance on the iconic stage was one of the more special moments in the trio's career. Their Opry performance of the inspirational "My Wish" was filmed for Sunday's MDA telethon on ABC. "As much fun as it was performing for this year's MDA telethon, getting to meet with Bryson Foster who's affected by muscular dystrophy was the real highlight of the whole experience for me and the guys," says lead singer Gary LeVox. “This will be the 14-year-old Foster's third appearance on the broadcast. He served as emcee for the Nashville taping, introducing Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans, who performed "A Little Bit Stronger" for the show. The North Carolina teen also conducted interviews with the artists backstage.”

IT WAS FAKE, FOLKS: So simmer down, per The Wrap, “So many people thought that Jennifer Aniston wasn't in on the joke during Wednesday's “Friends” reunion on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that the host had to stress that she was. “ “We were clearly acting, right?” Kimmel asked his audience during his Thursday monologue (above). “For some reason, maybe half, if not more of the people commenting online, seem to think that was real. I'm not kidding.”

CHELSEA CLINTON: Leaves NBC, Hmmmmm. Wonder if this is related to 2016?, per People, “Chelsea Clinton says she's stepping out of her correspondent job as she looks forward to taking on mom duties. “After not quite three years as a special correspondent for NBC News – and with just a little while until she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expected to become parents – the former first daughter is now leaving that position, she tells PEOPLE in a statement, "to continue focusing on my work at the Clinton Foundation and as Marc and I look forward to welcoming our first child."

BRITNEY SPEARS IS SINGLE: Amid rumors, per The Wrap, “Britney Spears is ready to mingle. The 32-year-old pop star revealed on Thursday that she and boyfriend David Lucado have broken up. "Ahhhh the single life!" she tweeted. Brit's rep also confirmed her relationship status. “TMZ reports that Spears immediately ended the relationship when she learned of a video taken earlier this month that was being "shopped around Hollywood" and shows Lucado making out with another woman.”

‘THE GRANDMASTER’: Now in 3D, per Variety, “Iconic Hong Kong-based director Wong Kar-wai has set mid-October as the release date for a new 3D version of “The Grandmaster,” his Oscar-nominated biopic of Ip Man, the martial arts maestro who mentored Bruce Lee. “The 3D version will be given a wide release by its Chinese distributor and co-producer Bona Film Group, some 21 months after it took out the original in conventional 2D and IMAX formats. Starring Zhang Ziyi and Tony Leung Chiu-wai, the film earned Academy Awards nominations for best costume and best cinematography.”

ANGELINA JOLIE: And Syria, per Us Weekly, “Turning the spotlight. After it was revealed Thursday, Aug. 28, that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had married in a small, private ceremony over the weekend, the A-list actress released a statement Friday, regarding a tragic new milestone in Syria. “ "Three million refugees is not just another statistic," Jolie, 39, a UNHCR special envoy, said of the displaced people who have fled Syria as a result of the civil war. "It is a searing indictment of our collective failure to end the war in Syria." Since last visiting Syrian refugees in a Lebanese camp in February 2014, Jolie has become a vocal critic of the world's lack of leadership in ending the crisis.”
