Bruce Springsteen jams at old haunt: The Stone Pony

Daybreak Daily’s earlier-than-usual report from the pop-culture world -- including a requisite weekend wrap-up --{ }finds the Boss jamming at the Stone Pony, other things, and the mystery music video.

THE BOSS: Per Rolling Stone, “Bruce Springsteen revisited his old stomping grounds Saturday night, performing a 25-song set at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J. He was backed by E Street Band members Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg, Asbury Juke Bobby Bandiera and a four-piece horn section.

Springsteen closed the performance with an acoustic version of "Thunder Road."

The show was a private benefit for Boston College, where Springsteen's son Evan is a student. The audience included New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, NBC news anchor Brian Williams and actor Tim Robbins.”

BUT IT’S AFTER LABOR DAY: Per Us, “Kim Kardashian has been showing off her famous figure in a variety of sexy white dresses for years, so it was only fitting that she chose to rock her favorite color at her 31st birthday party in Las Vegas on Saturday. The reality star wore a curve-hugging number with sheer panels and accessorized with several sparkly bangles and oversized diamond earrings.”

PAUL AND YOKO: Per E!, “Just two weeks after Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell made it official and swapped vows in London, the couple did their best to put the par-tay back in their wedding party, throwing a second celebration in New York Friday night for all their Yank friends who couldn't make it across the pond for their original ceremony.

And it would appear that most of those friends were of the bold-named variety. Starting with his most famous former frenemy.

Yoko Ono! What's past is past, as they proved when they walked the red carpet together earlier this month. John Lennon's widow was among those pals who came out to the Bowery Hotel to help celebrate the nuptials of the loved-up former Beatle and his new (previously) NYC-based missus.

She was joined by quite an eclectic guest list that was a far cry from the intimate gathering just a few weeks back: her son Sean Lennon, fellow rockers Joe Walsh and Keith Richards, the latter of whom was joined by wife Patti Hansen, Ralph Lauren and wife Ricky, David Lauren and Lauren Lauren Bush, Aida Turturro, Jon Bon Jovi, head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Steve Buscemi and James Taylor.”

YOU KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN: Per People, “The photos may look incriminating. But San Diego nightclub waitress Jessica Donaldson says she didn't share a kiss, or anything beyond a little flirting, with Prince Harry on Saturday night at a bar in Solana Beach, Calif.

"Harry is a real-life Prince Charming," Donaldson, 26, tells Britain's Sunday Mirror. "He is so sweet. In fact, he was kind of goofy with me. I really like him, but I am speaking out now because I want people to know the truth. I am not sleeping with Prince Harry, and he has never been anything other than a total gentleman to me."

OH, BABY: Per Radar, “Jessica Simpson doesn't seem to be trying to hide it anymore. She showed off what appeared to be a very prominent baby bump while going through LAX on Sunday. Jessica has coyly declined to comment on the many reports that she is pregnant with her fiancé Eric Johnson. But going through LAX today, she had her jacket open, with her bump visible for all to see.”

MR. ROBINSON’S NEIGHBORHOOD: Per indieWIRE, “Eddie Murphy talked a little bit about his Academy Awards hosting gig early next year during a press conference for his upcoming comedy thriller Tower Heist. The actor says, “I’m looking forward to doing it and I promise I’ll stay there all night, Oscars is a fun thing to do. I don’t feel the pressure. I get to introduce people and stand up straight. Maybe I’ll be in a couple silly sketches or something.”

FRIENDS: Per Celebuzz, “Really? You're going to be working on not one, but TWO TV pilots and you can't make things work in your marriage?! What the what?!

You're going to see Courteney Cox and David Arquette's names intermingling with each other a lot next fall as the pair have sold ANOTHER pilot, this time to ABC.

The untitled Rob Sheridan project is a single-camera comedy revolving around a former hefty woman who finds the inner strength to lose a ton of weight, but continues to struggle with self-control in more ways than one when she takes up working with her ex at a catering diner. Court and David are attached to executive produce the project alongside the Mad Love writer/co-executive producer Rob.”

AND FINALLY: Today’s mystery music video.
