Blue Caprice, based on Beltway snipers, debuts tonight
Blue Caprice, the movie based on Beltway snipers John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo, will debut Friday night in New York City.
The film, which stars Isiah Washington as Muhammad and Tequan Richmond as Malvo, follows the two men from their meeting in Antigua through their October 2002 killing spree in the District, Virginia and Maryland. Malvo and Muhammad killed 10 people and injured three more.
The movie will be screened in small theaters beginning tonight at the IFC Center in New York. Blue Caprice will open for a run of several weeks in the Washington area starting Sept. 27 with screenings at the West End Cinema in Northwest and at the AFI Silver Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Md.
