Black Friday 2013: Store hours and deals

(WJLA) - Once upon a time, Black Friday was the official start of the holiday shopping season. Then came Brown Thursday. That's the day retailers decided to get ahead of the game by offering deals and special store hours on Thanksgiving.

It's still more than a week away from Black Friday, but that's not keeping some stores from getting a jump on the sales.

Some major retailers are moving up typical Black Friday sales to this Friday -- one week early.

More and more stores have joined the list of those open on Thanksgiving Day. But last week, Sears and KMart announced deals to "rewards" customers one week early.

Not to be outdone, Walmart switched it's Black Friday plans yesterday to join in the early sale.

Low holiday sales predictions and fewer shopping days than usual between Black Friday and Christmas are causing stores to act quickly -- to ensure spending is up and more money is made.

And don't forget about Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving known for great holidays deals online. That might be the next sale date to get switched up.

Here is a look at what's open and when, and more importantly...when the deals begin!
