A group of retired admirals and generals plan unveiled a Tuesday on the importance of early learning and how it affects our nation's security.
The retired military officials say 75 percent of Americans between the ages of 17 and 24 can't join the military because they don't have a high school diploma or didn't score well enough on the military's entrance exam.
The retired military leaders say the Obama administration's pre-kindergarten proposal could lead to 2 million more high school graduates and $150 billion dollars in economic benefits.
The report entitled, "A Commitment to Pre-Kindergarten is a Commitment to National Security," urges congress to work with the Obama admiration to make more economic opportunities for youths.
