      2014 Kavli Foundation Science in Fiction Video Contest

      Students from around the world were challenged to research the real science and technology behind their favorite science fiction movies, video games, and tv shows.

      They submitted their findings in the form of :30- :90 videos to the 3rd Kavli Science Video Contest.

      The contest is sponsored by the Kavli Foundation and is open to students in grades 6-12 worldwide.

      Top video entries in the contest will receive cash awards and prizes, and winners will be honored in an awards show at the USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo on Saturday April 26, to be hosted by Tommy McFly and science advisors to the tv shows "Breaking Bad", "House", and "Big Bang Theory".
