A baggage handler at San Francisco International Airport and his wife have been charged with theft and burglary after prosecutors say they stole luggage from passengers who were diverted there after the crash of Asiana Airlines flight 214.

KNTV reports that Sean Crudup and his wife, Raychas Thomas, stole piece of baggage from air passengers whose flights landed elsewhere after the July 6 crash.

Crudup and Thomas were caught on camera taking the luggage, which arrived at the airport before the passengers did, KNTV says. The pair then returned several items to a department store and received $5,000 for them.

It's not the first time in recent memory that a United Airlines employee was busted at SFO for stealing luggage. According to KGO, United employee George Reyes was arrested and accused of stealing valuable items out of dozens of piece of luggage.
