Student, 15, charged for allegedly making bomb threat to Gar-Field High School in Virginia
WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WJLA) —
A 15-year-old student was charged for allegedly making a bomb threat on March 5 to Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge.
The teen boy was charged with knowingly communicating a false threat to bomb, and is being held at a juvenile detention center, according to Prince William County Police.
Investigators say a student reported to a School Resource Officer that he overheard another student "making statements" about putting a bomb in the school.
According to Prince William County Police, the officer identified the student and learned the threat wasn't legitimate.
