FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WJLA) -- Fairfax County police released a sketch Wednesday of the man wanted for stabbing a 65-year-old woman during a Fourth of July fireworks show.

The attack happened last Friday night in a shopping center parking lot on Leesburg Pike, across from George Mason High School.

The woman told police she was stabbed stabbed from behind while watching a fireworks display with some friends. The suspect fled on foot and witnesses gave chase but lost sight of him.

The man wanted by police is described as white, possibly 18 to 20 years old with short blonde hair. He was wearing a white tank top and shorts at the time of the attack.

The victim is currently recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
