Prince George's County Police and Postal Inspectors canvassed a neighborhood on Monday where a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier was found shot to death while delivering mail on November 23, 2013.

According to police, the letter carrier, Tyson Barnette, was found near the intersection of Jutewood Avenue and Reed Street in Cheverly, Maryland with fatal gunshot wounds.

Frank Schissler, U.S. Postal Inspector, Washington Division, said they want to bring justice to this case and get a dangerous person off the street.

“This was a violent crime that occurred not far from here so anyone capable of doing this to Tyson Barnette is capable of doing this probably to anyone,’ said Schissler.

A surveillance video showing a vehicle of interest was released following the incident and police say they too are still asking for the public's help gaining information. Watch the video below or click here.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is still offering an award up to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with this case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Postal Inspectors at (877) 876-2455 or Prince George's County Police at (866) 411-TIPS.
