Police seek Woodbridge, Va. man suspected of sexually assaulting pair of young girls

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WJLA) – Prince William County Police are searching for Jose Reynaldo Villanueva, who is accused of sexually assaulting two young girls, ages 4 and 6, last week.

According to the PWCPD Special Victims Unit, the children were allegedly sexually assaulted while they were visiting a residence in the area of the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue on Sunday, July 13.

Detectives have obtained warrants against 35-year-old Villanueva, who lives in the basement of a residence at 1619 Maryland Ave. in Woodbridge. Relatives say the suspect fled the house and hasn’t been heard from since.

ABC 7 News spoke with a relative of one of the victims, who did not want her identity revealed.

“Everyone is just asking themselves why he did what he did to us,” she said. “You just can’t believe that someone would do that—especially someone you trusted.”

Police say the young victims were visiting the home on Maryland Avenue when the crimes took place. Now, they and many others hope justice prevails for two heartbroken families.

“If he did do it, he should be put in jail and get what he deserves,” said neighbor Linda Houck. “He’s taken their innocence and their childhood from them and something should be taken from him.”

Villanueva is wanted on three counts, including two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

“There is a God out there and [Villanueva] can hide in the blackest hole ever, but sooner or later the truth comes out,” one of the victim’s relatives said.

Villanueva is a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighs approximately 175 pounds and has a medium build. The suspect has a clean-shaven face, curly black hair and brown eyes.
