Police: Maryland mother acting 'erratically' allegedly strikes son with closed fist
RIVERDALE, Md. (ABC7) —
A woman who was behaving "erratically" was arrested after she allegedly hit her son with a closed fist on December 2017.
Nancy Arriaza is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and second-degree child abuse, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say officers responded to a report of a "suicidal woman" in the 5600 block of Riverdale Road, where Arriaza allegedly hit her son.
The age of the child was not released by the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office.
Arriaza was taken to Washington Adventist Hospital, and investigators say she was later arrested on Jan. 23.
