Fairfax County police are trying to find a person of interest after a 13-year-old girl said she was filmed while trying on clothes inside a fitting room stall at Fair Oaks Mall.

Police said the girl was at the mall’s Hollister Co. store between 2-3 p.m. last Sunday when she looked down and saw a cell phone apparently filming her in her fitting room stall while she changed clothes. Before noticing the phone, she heard a noise in the stall next to hers.

Following the incident, the girl told her mother who in turn informed store employees.

Surveillance footage shared with Fairfax County police shows a man in the store around the time of the incident who they are calling a person of interest in the case. Currently, he is not being called a suspect.

Hollister has been cooperating fully with the investigation, according to police.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call police at 703-691-2131. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling 1-866-411-TIPS, texting TIP187 to CRIMES (274637) or visiting fairfaxcrimesolvers.org.
