Police bust large marijuana operation in Glen Burnie home, seize plants, cash and weapons
GLEN BURNIE, MD. (WJLA) - Anne Arundel County police made a major drug bust Thursday, arresting one man and seizing various weapons, cash, drug paraphernalia and plants.
At around 6 a.m., authorities from the Special Enforcement and Operations sections executed a search and seizure warrant at a Glen Burnie home they had suspected to be the site of a major drug operation. The home is located at 431 Maple Lane NW.
Upon searching the residence, detectives seized 11 marijuana plants with an approximate street value of $5,535 and approximately 2441 grams of processed marijuana with an approximate street value of $48,820.
Detectives also seized several pieces of equipment used to manufacture marijuana, five handguns, five rifles, around $5,000 in cash and various other drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested 37-year-old Daniel Paul Puckett, who lived in the residence.
Puckett is being charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug production equipment, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm with a nexus to a drug trafficking crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
