Police: 3 men wanted for string of robberies in D.C. also wanted in Prince George's Co. (Prince George's County Police Department)

Prince George’s County Police believe the robbers who stole from two cell phone stores are tied to a string of robberies in D.C.

On Thursday, detectives released surveillance pictures of the robbers inside two T-Mobile stores.

The first was on December 3 along the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights.

The second was on December 12 along the 6200 block of Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant.

In both cases, two men robbed the stores while a third person waited in a getaway vehicle.

Investigators believe the three men are also responsible for seven robberies in D.C., which started on December 1. All three robbers appear to be older than 45 years old based on what can be seen on surveillance cameras.

This week, ABC7 News aired video of one of the robbers shattering a glass door at Bensons Jewelers on F Street in Northwest Washington. After the man broke the door, he jumped through it and stole $4,400 worth of watches. That crime happened on December 13.

MPD also released video of three men stealing from the Arc’teryx store on H-Street NW on December 5. The men snatched more than $20,000 worth of clothing. In that case, they were seen in a stolen church van, which belonged to Young’s Memorial Church of Christ Holiness.

The thieves also hit a Sprint store on Benning Road, NE, the AT&T store on Pennsylvania Avenue, SE and a Verizon store on F-Street, NW.
