Montgomery County 7-Eleven robberies suspects still on loose, police say
Police are looking for two men they believe are behind a string of 7-Eleven robberies in Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.
On October 12 at 11:43 p.m., a man entered the 7-Eleven on 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village, displayed a sawed-off shotgun and demanded money, according to Montgomery County Police.
The man gave the cashier a white plastic bag in which he demanded the money to be placed. He then ran from the store and was last seen running toward Watkins Mill Road, police said.
The man is described as an African-American, 25 - 30 years old, 6-foot to 6-foot-2 and weighing160 - 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored, quarter-length pea coat and blue jeans, a black scarf or cloth over his face, black sunglasses and black gloves.
On October 27 at 1:41 a.m., a man entered the 7-Eleven on 9051 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg, displayed a sawed off shotgun, and demanded money from the cashier. He demanded money be put in a white plastic bag he provided and then fled on foot from the store.
A citizen leaving the 7-Eleven on Snouffer School Road saw two men outside the store wearing masks. The man who entered the store is described as having a light complexion and about 5-foot-8. He was wearing a black jacket and mask.
The second man who remained outside is described as dressed in all black with a black covering over his face and wearing dark sunglasses.
Based on the citizen's account, police believe two men are working together to commit the robberies.
