Md man found guilty of child abuse after beating boy with metal broomstick, extension cord
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) —
Forty-one-year-old Eukpeeh Lloyd of Middletown, Maryland was found guilty of Second Degree Child Abuse by a Frederick County Jury on Monday and two counts of Second Degree Assault after beating a 13-year-old boy, the States Attorney for Frederick County said.
According to the Attorney's Office, Lloyd reportedly beat the boy "with a metal broomstick handle and whipped [him] with an extension cord" for not properly cleaning a bathroom. In a press release, officials say the 13-year-old had a four to five inch "gash in his leg above his knee, a round wound on his arm, whip marks on his back and had multiple visible scars from a prior assault."
Sentencing was scheduled for August 25.
