Man wearing white plastic mask robs M&T Bank in Potomac

Montgomery County Police are looking for a man who robbed a Potomac bank Friday morning.

At 9:41 a.m., police responded to the M&T Bank at 10100 River Road for a bank robbery, according to a news release.

The man entered the bank, approached the teller, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, police said. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot toward River Road to the rear of the shopping center.

No one was injured.

The man is described as a white male of unknown age, 6-foot to 6-foot-1, with a medium to heavy-set build.

He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray urban camouflage colored baseball hat, gloves, a black scarf, white Tyvek jacket and a white plastic mask covering his face, the news release said.

He was armed with a small black handgun and carried an umbrella during the robbery.
