(WJLA) - Four more arrests have been made in connection with the Kenny Diaz case, authorities announced Thursday.
Investigators say the four juvenile males were acquaintances of Diaz and that they are all 16 year-olds from Woodbridge. The teens have been charged with attempted armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Diaz was found stabbed to death in Prince William County Park on Saturday. He later died at a local hospital.
The most recent arrests bring the total number of suspects arrested in the case to 12.
Police say the 16-year old acquaintances were with Diaz the day he planned to confront someone who he believed stole from his friend. Police say Diaz was killed during that confrontation.
Eight others have been arrested in connection with this case, but only one has been charged with murder.
The suspect who police allege killed Diaz is 19-year-old Diandra Janae Samuels, who's also charged with abduction and armed robbery.
