Police identify man shot to death in Lanham Friday morning

A man was shot and killed Friday morning in Lanham.

Officers responded to a welfare check at about 9:15 a.m. and discovered the man with gunshot wounds, lying on a footpath, in the 7000 block of Palamar Turn.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and police later identified him as Troy Foster, 24, of Valley Terrace in Southeast DC.

Investigators say they're working to identify a motive for the crime and to find any possible suspects. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by police.
