GERMANTOWN, Md. (WJLA) - Nearly half a day after a man was shot inside his Germantown house during a home invasion, the suspects in the case have still not been found.

Montgomery County Police officials say the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Monday on Onax Drive near Black Rock Road. Authorities believe multiple suspects broke into the home and shot a 22-year old man several times.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery. He is in serious condition and is expected to survive. There were other men in the house, but they were not injured.

A person of interest was questioned by police, but officials believe the suspects in the home invasion remain on the loose. Detectives also believe that the people involved in the case may know each other.
