FedExField robbery suspects carried stun guns, fled with thousands in cash

LANDOVER, Md. (WJLA) - The Redskins game was over, the loss complete. On Monday night, the team just couldn’t keep the 49ers out of the end zone.

According to two vendors, FedExField police also couldn’t keep a pair of robbers out of the stadium, and the call for came at about 12:20 a.m. from two women.

"They advised they were counting money in the concession room at the time two suspects entered the room demanding funds," said Officer Harry Bond.

The alleged victims told police that those two mask-wearing men zapped them with stun guns and fled with thousands in cash.

“That's surprising,” said Doshey Powell, who worked all night at FedEx Field that night. He says the Taser-wielding robbers had to know their way around the stadium.

“When we got there last night, there were police officers everywhere -- inside the stadium, at the entrances, going to your seats, there were police officers."

He and his colleagues say their hearts go out to the victims who suffered minor injuries.
