Man shot by deputies in Sterling after disorderly conduct call
STERLING, Va. (WJLA) - Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies shot and wounded a man Tuesday after responding to a domestic disturbance at a home in Sterling, authorities said.
The shooting took place shortly after 4 p.m. in the the 1100 block of Albemarle Road.
A man in the house had reportedly threatened another family member with a sword, which prompted a call to 9-1-1 and deputies were dispatched to the scene.
When deputies arrived, they said a man came out of the house with a gun and wouldn't drop it, so they shot him.
The unidentified man survived and was transported to a hospital in Fairfax for treatment.
