LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police say thieves made illegal charges with a credit card a deputy chief had just gotten after the old card was compromised at Target.
Police say Deputy Chief George Nader unknowingly dropped the card Friday at a restaurant in Laurel. Officers say within an hour, illegal charges had been made using it at four nearby stores.
Nader had just gotten the card after his old card was compromised in the Target security breach that affected more than 40 million card users.
The department released pictures of two people suspected of using the card. Anyone with information is asked to call Price George's County police at (301) 699-2601.
