Authorities say assault at Holocaust Museum unfounded
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
Authorities say an alleged attack reported at the U.S. Holocaust Museum on Sunday is unfounded.
The museum was placed on a nearly hour-long lock down around 3 p.m. after a woman said a brazen attack had taken place inside a bathroom.
Authorities say, after investigating the claim that they never found anyone who could corroborate a man entered the bathroom where the woman claimed the attack took place.
After watching surveillance videos and conducting witness interviews, authorities determined the report to be fake.
A similar incident was also reported on May 6, but officials also called this report unfounded.
