Alexandria Police seek suspect in alleged groping attack

(WJLA) - Alexandria Police are looking for a man they say groped a college student Monday as she was walking back to class.

It happened near Northern Virginia Community College's Alexandria campus.
The school sent out an email alert warning students about what happened, and it explained that the woman had been at a Taco Bell on nearby King Street on Monday around lunchtime.

The victim had been walking back towards the campus on Dawes Avenue when police say the man came up from behind, grabbed her groin area underneath her skirt, and then ran away.

Police say they arrived at the scene of the groping around 2 p.m. Monday. They describe the suspect as 5'4," thin, and in his 20's. He also had a mustache and was wearing a black baseball cap, a brown shirt, and brown shorts.
