Touching, speaking is the new password

The New York Times reports:

Computer scientists are training their iPads to recognize their owner's touch. Banks are using software that recognizes voice. Even the Department of Defense is looking for ways to use cues like a person's typing quirks to continuously verify identity.

Many people would agree the old-fashioned password has become a monkey on our digital backs.

There is the notion that a password alone is an insufficient means to verify online activity.
