Hundreds of thousands of Kenmore-brand dehumidifiers are being recalled by Sears for the second time after a series of fires caused by the units.

Sears says that they're once again recalling 800,000 of the dehumidifiers after the Consumer Product Safety Commission got more than 100 reports of fires, property damage and smoke inhalation.

The company's first attempt at recalling the dehumidifiers was not heeded to the vast majority of owners, prompting Sears make the announcement again.

The recall affects 35, 50 and 70-pint dehumidifiers that were manufactured by LG Electronics, bearing the Kenmore logo. They were all made between 2003 and 2005.
