(WJLA) - America's taste for Michelob Light has waned, big time.
A 24/7 Wall Street analysis of beer consumption in the United States reveals that sales of Michelob Light have plummeted by nearly 70 percent since 2007. Analysts say that the once popular brand of light beer is a "sinking brand."
Beyond Michelob Light, Budweiser Select (61.5 percent), Milwaukee's Best Premium (58.5 percent) and Miller Genuine Draft (56.4 percent) as other brands that have seen sales plummet over the past half decade.
