DC Tech hub "1776" gets boost from federal program, Mayor Gray

In January of 2011, President Obama announced "Startup America" -- a set of entrepreneur-focused policy initiatives. The program draws from a $1 billion pool, and is designed to fuel 100,000 new businesses.

In Washington D.C., it helped launch a new technology hub called "1776."

Bill Flook, staff reporter at the Washington Business Journal, discussed the program with Capital Insider.
