Apple is likely to roll out the 5th generation of the iPad next week, Mashable reports.
The Cupertino, Calif. company sent out invitations Tuesday to a product unveiling event to take place on Oct. 22, where CEO Tim Cook is expected to unveil its latest tablet offering.
Mashable says that the new iPad is rumored to be lighter and thinner, include an 8-megapixel camera and will be the first to be designed specifically for iOS 7.
The unveiling of the new iPad comes directly on the heels on Apple's wildly successful rollout of the new iPhone 5S and 5C, which sold millions of units in their first weekend of availability.
