Veterans, spouses get job-hunting help from H2H.jobs
H2H.jobs is helping veterans and their spouses connect with employers.
Army Staff Sgt. Kevin Hargrave is supposed to retire soon. but says he has no plans to leave the job search.
He's looking for a law enforcement job, and he's doing it through a website called Hero 2 Hired, or H2H.jobs.
"It seems to be very effective. Any tool that helps with the job search is an important tool."
Funded by the Defense Department, H2H.jobs connects veterans and their spouses with employment listings by keyword and location. From a mobile job fair in D.C., soldiers could find work all over the nation.
But it doesn't end with job listings. It takes you through the whole process, from resume writing to interviewing techniques.
"When folks come to H2H.jobs, they're getting emails back to stay up to date," says Army Sgt. Major Wayne Bowser. "It's not the kind of website where you just dump your resume and don't hear anything back."
For soldiers like Hargrave, it's making a stressful hunt a little easier.
