Va. high school student makes history winning Microsoft Excel global competition
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
A Woodbridge, Virginia high school student made history winning the Microsoft Excel global competition becoming the first American to accomplish this feat.
Jack Dumoulin, 17, began creating spreadsheets in middle school, and later took several excel certification tests. Dumoulin secured the highest score in Virginia on the Microsoft Excel test.
The teen went on to qualify for the National Microsoft Office Specialist Competition in Orlando, Florida competing against over 100 other students, and came out victorious in the challenge.
