Take a tour of DC's first women-owned distillery

Republic Restoratives opened its doors last year as the first women-owned distillery in D.C.
Co-owners Pia Carusone and Rachel Gardner raised $119,000 from more than 600 community investors to bring their dream to life. Along the way, many investors tried to discourage them and wrote them off as young, idealistic women. But Carusone and Gardner proved them wrong when Republic Restoratives became the largest crowd-funded distillery in the U.S.
