Eating disorders awareness and the need for congressional support

Hundreds of people are assembling on Capitol Hill this morning for the 24th bi-annual Advocacy Day, where those affected by eating disorders urge Congress to support policies to help prevent and treat the more than 30 million Americans battling the illness. Katrina Velasquez, policy director for the Eating Disorders Coalition, and Johanna Kandel, eating disorder survivor and executive director for the Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness, discussed startling statistics and how you can help someone who may be suffering.
