After the lost of their son Carrington R. Carter II, Shernell and Carrington Carter, Sr. established a non-profit organization called the Carrington Carter II Charity, Inc. This organization aims to provide alternatives to the reckless gun violence permeating our communities, expose our youth to alternative coping mechanisms during conflict and develop a viable course of action for transition from education to the workforce.

On Monday, October 9, 2017, the Carrington Carter II Golf Tournament will be held at The Country Club at Woodmore to raise money for scholarships that will be awarded to local student-athletes.
