The White House has acknowledged an attempt to infiltrate its computer system. Officials say hackers targeted an unclassified network, that security officials identified the threat, then isolated it. No White House data was compromised.
The attack comes as the Obama administration prepares a possible executive order to protect U.S. computer systems -- private and public alike.
