Our very hot weekend continues around the DMV, as yesterday's high temperature at DCA was 98° and today's high temperature will again approach the upper 90s, you may also notice a small decrease in the humidity today taking just a little bit of the muggy feeling away when spending time outside. We do not have a heat advisory for today but air quality continues to be diminished, thus we again are under a Code Orange air quality alert (unhealthy for sensitive groups). A few storms may fire into the Shenandoah Valley and Mountains of West Virginia later this afternoon.
Very hot conditions for tomorrow with temperatures expected to approach 100° and heat indicies at 105°+ tomorrow at times, tomorrow's high temperature record of 100° (set in 1930) may be challenged. An approaching weather front will trigger scattered after noon and evening t-storms which look to linger into the Tuesday morning forecast. High temperatures for this upcoming week will continue to be in the 90s.
Have a good rest of the weekend, be mindful of today's heat when outside, and enjoy!
